Recently, at Absolute Dental Care, we went through a thorough (and we mean, thorough) accreditation process. We have been assessed against the rigorous National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, and we passed with flying colours! Here’s what it means for you …
Why do this?
Sometimes in business, you don’t really know where you stand compared to others in the field. As a result of the accreditation, we learnt where we were doing well, and we improved a few aspects of the practice in the process. We know we always need to be doing better.
What it means for you?
For you, accreditation is an independent way to verify that we’re doing the right thing by you. Because we’re accredited, you’ve got peace of mind that we’ve demonstrated our skills in things like:
Born and raised in Brisbane, Dr Paul Rollason knew he wanted to be a dentist in grade six when he met and grew to admire his orthodontist. The idea of working with families and being hands-on with patients appealed to both his personal connection with people and his interest in dental science.
He was told in grade seven that he wouldn’t be good enough, but he has never been one to turn away from a challenge. He set about finding ways to get what he wanted. He enjoys using his hands to help people by getting them out of pain and putting a smile on their faces.
Paul obtained the Baden Powell Award in Scouting in 1998 – the highest award in the Rover Section.
Paul started in the practice as an associate in 1996 and managed the practice for 10 years before purchasing it off the owner in 2006.
When he is away from the dental surgery, you will often find Paul enjoying many fun and enriching activities.
Paul is also a founding member of the Scouts Queensland Health Fellowship.

Ashley is thrilled to be living in Australia! When she’s not at the office she is typically found on the beach, practicing yoga, reading a mystery novel or blogging for the young adult cancer organization she is passionate about.

I’m a fully qualified florist by trade and did that for 12 years. I still do special events on the weekends and love the creativity and colours. I’ve added amateur cake decorating to my repertoire for special events as well.
What drew me to a change of career is the want to help people. I’m loving the work that we do here at ADC and loving the people I work with.
In my spare time I love to dance with Rhythm and Dance Attitude, bake cakes and decorate them, spend some time in the gym improving my health and getting out and about either with walks or exploring and catching up for a coffee with loved ones at one of the many great cafes around Brissy.

Janice is originally from the USA; born in Pennsylvania but spent most of her childhood years in New York State. She is the 4th child out of six with 4 brothers and 1 sister. In 2006 Janice moved to a farm just out of Inverell, NSW, Australia with her parents and younger sister and brother. In 2009 she opted out of doing year 12 and worked full time in a dental clinic while completing her Cert. III in Dental Assisting through TAFE, NSW. She then did a Cert IV in Oral Health and a Cert. IV in Dental Radiography. Since then, Janice has worked in a variety of large and small dental clinics both here in Australia and back in the USA. After 12 years of dental assisting, Janice is still enjoying her work in the dental field helping patients feel, welcome, comfortable, and confident about their smile.
What does Janice miss the most about the USA? Definitely the snow and winter sports. But, after the large adjustment of moving overseas in year 9…leaving behind her friends, school and familiar neighborhood, Janice has made many Aussie friends and feels very much at home down here. Janice loves reading, especially murder mysteries, as well as getting outdoors and enjoying time with friends.
Deepa first entered the world of dentistry in 1997 after receiving a scholarship in dental hygiene at the Fiji School of Medicine. After working three years in the School of Dentistry in Fiji as a clinical coordinator, Deepa moved to Sydney and completed her bridging course to obtain her licence in dental hygiene. Deepa is patient, understanding, detail-oriented, energetic, and friendly. She works hard to make the patient feel comfortable and relaxed, and she fully explains the health reasons and steps behind everything she does inside the patient’s mouth.
Deepa loves sports, athletics, and fitness. She represented Fiji Islands in the South Pacific Games and achieved a couple of gold and silver medals in the 20-km walk. Deepa is passionate about health and fitness; when she’s not at work, you will find her either at the gym or cooking healthy meals for her family.

She is an enthusiastic and positive post-graduate student with over 4 years of customer service experience who brings passion and hard work to our practice. She has previously worked in a sports and health area and loved assisting patients and getting to know them.
Outside of the practice, Kristen likes to run, dance, and explore at the beach. Her creative outlet is drawing, although she hasn’t had much opportunity lately because of travel.

Hi, I’m Hannah,
When I’m not in scrubs, I enjoy cooking and exploring Australia’s great outdoors with my husband and son, diving into adventures like beach trips, and camping.
Over my years of training, I have heard stories from patients that have led to them avoiding dental work this has led me to make it my mission to fight against these dental phobias so that people can feel safe and not judged when trying to better their oral health. I try to do this through my VIP services, my reassuring communications, and my comforting nature.
I graduated from Bachelor of Dental Hygiene on the Gold Coast from Griffith University with Griffith Award for Academic Excellence for 3 years.
I love helping people achieve dental health. I do this by educating and empowering patients to change the perception of dentistry through gentle care and creating the confidence in patients to smile.
I am passionate about preventative dentistry and oral health education. I believe that patient centre care is the most trustful approach to empower patients to take control of their oral health.
I am dedicated to restoring patients’ faith and trust in the dental profession and Dental Professionals.
Almost qualified as a DA and am very honoured to be a part of the ADC Family. I love to ease anxious patients and make their dental experiences more pleasurable and ensure all patients are in the best hands possible when coming into ADC.
Why I chose DAing? Love working alongside dental professionals to learn how better to educate patients on the importance of oral health care, so they are in turn taking part in controlling their oral health and overall health, and how much a beautiful smile has such a positive impact on the patient and I love being a part of the patient’s beautiful transformation.
Previously an Educator and was in the profession for over 7 ½ yrs, before I followed my passion for dentistry…and here I am, landing my 1st job as a DA at ADC.
Grew up in Brizy, engaged to my partner of 13 yrs, and we have a beautiful 6 yr old son together, as well as a rat bag of a pup – English Staffordshire bull terrier x cattle and he is a little terror, but we love him dearly.
I love to spend quality time with family – beach trips, swimming, fishing, holidays, get aways and more…..I like to unwind with some yoga and meditation, walks and exploring, tunes, movies and seasons on Netflix and my favourite tv show – Home and Away.
Hi I’m Kara,
I was born and raised in in Scotland and recently took a big leap moved over to Brisbane in 2024 from the UK. I decided to move to Brisbane due to the warm weather and outdoor lifestyle.
When I was at high school I knew I wanted to become an oral health therapist because I had a fear of coming to the dentist as a patient and I really wanted to make sure that dentistry can be made enjoyable. Caring for patients is something I find really easy to do and I love that Absolute Dental Care is all about patient care.
I trained at Glasgow Caledonian University and qualified in 2018 with Bachelor in Oral Health Science. Since then I have had a wealth of experience treating patients for periodontal disease and dental decay amongst children and adults in Scotland and England. I particularly enjoy treating children and engaging in conversation with patients throughout appointments.
When I’m not in clinical scrubs you will catch me in gym gear as I like working out and reading books from all genres. At weekends I am embracing exploring the city and its natural beauty.
We warmly welcome new patients of all ages and look forward to your call. Our clinic is located on Morrow Street in the Westside Hospital. We work with most health funds and have HICAPS available for your convenience.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Absolute Dental Care.
Failure to do so will incur a penalty payment for the full amount of your planned treatment.
