Cancellation Policy

At Absolute Dental Care, we understand that unexpected situations may arise, making it necessary for patients to reschedule or cancel their dental appointments. While we strive to accommodate our patients’ needs, it is essential to maintain an efficient schedule for the benefit of all our patients.

Appointment Cancellation

Advance Notice: Patients must provide a minimum of two (2) full business days (48 hours) notice when rescheduling or cancelling an appointment. This allows us to offer the appointment slot to another patient who may need dental care.

Late Cancellation or No-Show: If a patient cancels an appointment with less than two (2) full business days (48 hours) notice, or fails to attend a scheduled appointment without notice, it may result in a cancellation fee.

Cancellation Fees

First Occurrence: The first late cancellation or no-show will result in a warning and a note on the patient’s record.

Second Occurrence: The second occurrence of late cancellation or no-show will result in a second warning and another note on the patients record.

Third Occurrence: A third late cancellation or no-show will incur the full appointment fee for that days scheduled appointment.

Exceptions

We understand that emergencies can happen, and exceptions may be made for patients who experience unforeseen circumstances such as sudden illness, accidents, or family emergencies. Please contact our office as soon as possible in such cases, and we will work with you to reschedule your appointment.

Appointment Reminders

To help patients remember their appointments and minimise the risk of late cancellations or no-shows, we will send appointment reminders via text message, email, or phone call. Patients are encouraged to confirm their appointments promptly.

Late Arrival

While we strive to accommodate patients who arrive late for their appointments, please be aware that tardiness may result in a shortened appointment time to avoid delays for other scheduled patients.

Rescheduling Appointments

Patients are welcome to reschedule appointments to a more convenient time if needed, provided they provide a minimum of two (2) full business days (48 hours) notice as outlined in this policy.
